All I Want Is A Micro-Pig For Christmas

Bred to be even smaller than potbellied pigs, micro pigs or 'teacup pigs' are making their debut in the U.K. thanks to Jane Croft, an investment banker turned teacup pig breeder.

Easy to care for and highly intelligent, pigs make excellent pets for folks who suffer from allergies. When fully grown, micro pigs stand about knee heigh and can weigh up to 65 pounds versus potbellied pigs who weigh up to 90 pounds when fully grown.

Croft is the only known breeder of micro pigs and is unable to meet the high demand for her teacup sized brood. At 700 sterling pounds a piece, or apx. $1,400 U.S. dollars, these little pigs are going for one big price tag. So if all you want is a micro pig for Christmas, better write Ms. Croft now at The Little Pig Farm and put yourself on a very long waiting list.
