Speke's Gazelle

Perhaps a relative of Rudolph?

The tiny, rare gazelle known as the Speke's gazelle has some pretty interesting features. For starters, the small animal has the most incredible nose ever seen in a mammal (maybe aside from the elephant). Its nose inflates to assist in making calls! The honking noise made by the endangered animal can be increased just by adding in more air.

When I say tiny, it's not an understatement, either: most of these small deer reach two feet in height and that's it. They are almost like the toy gazelles bred by bored rich people who want to carry their deer in their purses. They're very social and eat plants but they are on the menu for a plethora of predators.

Have you ever seen a Speke's gazelle? Tell us about it in the chat.
